I'm not sure if anyone has heard of the Enneagram but personally, it has been an enlightening tool in becoming more self-aware (definitely an on-going progress). The Enneagram system has also helped provide direction in certain facets of my life due to knowing where my strengths and weaknesses lie.
What the Enneagram does—which I find extremely valuable over other personality type tests—is offers a holistic approach to everyone's type. This particular approach includes how different personalities can complement each other, along with offering information on why we act the way we do. To be honest, it's definitely NOT comfortable reading about our weaknesses. However, the Enneagram provides insights into why you get in these places, how we can capitalize on our strengths and what we can truly achieve when we are at our best.
For example, other types can definitely draw me out when I get TOO much in my head. My laser-like focus can be an asset but if left unchecked, I can get so wrapped up in an idea, matching socks becomes irrelevant (yup, guilty as charged) 👌.
